Shannon Baker, past president of the Baptist Communicators Association, is director of communications and editor of BRN United for the Baptist Resource Network of Pennsylvania/South Jersey. She previously served as director of communications and editor of BaptistLIFE for the Baptist Convention of Maryland/Delaware and director of public relations at New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary after several years of corporate work in management, technical writing and communications. She holds a master of arts degree in ministry leadership from Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary and a bachelor of arts degree in journalism and mass communications from the University of N.C. at Chapel Hill.
What are the benefits you hope our churches will receive as a result of your work/role at the BRN?
My prayer is that we capture the stories of what God is doing throughout all of our churches, and in so doing, encourage each one of us on to greater works. I pray ministry leaders will be encouraged, informed and connected to the BRN family because of the stories we tell, no matter the format.
