Pittsburgh Baptist Church (PBC) and their Pastor, Dr. Kim Grueser, is once again stepping into church planting by supporting United Awakening Baptist Church. This is a pan-African church plant holding servicing at PBC and is led by Pastor Samuel Bomera.

Pastor Bomera is from the Democratic Republic of the Congo and spent several years as a refugee in Uganda before immigrating to the United States. He is currently in the pre-assessment phase of SEND network’s church planting endorsement process.

United Awakening is only a few months old, but they have already developed a strong core team. In their gathering at PBC this Palm Sunday, they had an attendance of approximately 80 where they celebrated the baptism of seven new believers.

As they continue to expand, the church plant is seeking to acquire a van to provide transportation for the people in their community and non-driving church members. Please join us in praying for this church as it continues to accelerate Kingdom movement in the Pittsburgh area.
