#1- Mark your calendars now for the October 8th Accelerate Conference to be held at the Holiday Inn Harrisburg-Hershey Hotel in Grantville, Pa. This year’s conference will feature the theme, “Bold: Next Level” with Drs. Barry Whitworth and Larry Anderson as the keynote speakers, plus other guests. There will be twelve breakout session options that will challenge BRN churches and pastors to be bold in every aspect of ministry. Also, we will unveil a “Next Level” Blueprint, designed to encourage and assist churches to move to their next level. Registration for the 2024 Accelerate Conference will open on June 15 at acceleratepasj.com.
#2-The 2024 Southern Baptist Convention Annual Meeting and Pastors’ Conference are scheduled for June 9-12 at the Indiana Convention Center in Indianapolis, Indiana. Please pray for this gathering, which will include nearly 200 ancillary meetings, events, and gatherings throughout the week, as well as the business sessions. Learn more at sbcannualmeeting.net.
#3- A BRN Next Campus Ministers’ Retreat, for those engaging young adults and youth across the Baptist Resource Network, will be held at the Volunteer Missions House in Harrisburg on June 7-9. This annual gathering of primarily campus missionaries, as well as collegiate church planters, collegiate pastors, ministry interns, and volunteers, is a time of fellowship, reflection, celebration, and connecting after the close of the academic school year. And don’t forget… the BRN asks each of our partnering churches to complete a Next Gen NEXT STEPS Survey to help our collegiate missionaries serving universities across PA and NJ to identify what our young people are planning to do as they finish high school. #4-The heartbeat of #ServePASJ is to mobilize the church around the mission Jesus gave us when He commanded us to go into the world with the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Churches have the opportunity to serve the city of Erie on September 20-21 in a variety of projects, including working in schools, serving refugees, doing light construction projects, and serving the city’s most vulnerable. Projects go live on July 1, but you can sign up today at servepasj.com to show your interest and download promotional materials.
#5-Do you want to multiply disciple-makers, leaders, and churches? Restored Church in Wilkes Barre is hosting a Vision Cast, led by Pastor Tim Walker, for you to learn all about how to join a Disciple Making/Church Planting Movement called The Timothy Initiative.
