COATESVILLE, Pa., (BRN) – Providence Church in Coatesville, Pennsylvania, and The Bridge Academy and Community Center have partnered this school year to provide support and encouragement to Coatesville Area Senior High School teachers, staff and administrators.

Since September, we have come to the school on the first Friday of every month and done something to encourage the teachers and school staff. We have provided Dunkin Donuts gift cards, journals, coffee and breakfast items, items to meet classroom needs, teacher in-service training, personal notes of encouragement from our staff and church members, school spirit t-shirts and more.

On the first Friday of every month, Providence Church in Coatesville, Pa., stops in at the local high school to bless and encourage teachers and staff.

The Lord has given us a pretty wide open door to be a presence and to encourage the teachers. Sometimes we even get to pray with and for staff and administration.

A Baptist Resource Network (BRN) evangelism grant helped fund our outreach on March 1. We gave teachers t-shirts, personal cards from the church, coffee and donuts and a few fun giveaways. We had about 100 teachers and staff come throughout the morning.

It has really allowed us to build relationships as well as encourage, pray for and support an under resourced school district. It has also really improved morale and our influence in the school as a ministry.
