PHILADELPHIA (BRN) – We wanted to share about the wonderful Easter weekend that we had at Bedrock Church Fishtown in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and are trusting that God moved in your church bodies as He did in ours! On Saturday (April 8), we hosted an Easter Egg Hunt in a local park just a few blocks from our church location. This was our first community event that we have hosted ourselves. We provided an egg hunt for three different age groups – packing a total of 4,500 eggs for the event – face painting, inflatable slide, snacks (popcorn and cotton candy) and had volunteers ready at a prayer tent that were able to pray with attendees.

We are estimating around 400 people came to the event! We were able to hand out physical invitations to all the families, have conversations about our church, pray with people, take anonymous written prayer requests and show our neighbors the love and generosity of Christ. At our Easter Sunday service, we had over 70 in attendance. Several families invited at the egg hunt came. We held our first baptism as two of our regular attenders, who went through our membership class in January, were baptized.
