FORT WAYNE, IN — What bold idea could help your church advance the Kingdom in your community? The Brotherhood Mutual Foundation® invites churches to apply for a share of $150,000 given out through its Kingdom Advancing Grant® program, which is now available for 2026. The funding is designed to support creative, sustainable programs that connect people to Jesus and inspire replication by other churches.
“We’re inspired to see how churches are thinking creatively to meet needs in their communities,” said Kathy Bruce, director of the Brotherhood Mutual Foundation. “In addition to being innovative, we’re looking for initiatives with well-thought-out strategic plans. This is an important step in keeping the program sustainable. And then we’ll look at how easily churches in other communities could replicate the program.”
Apply January 6 through March 31, 2026, at kag.brotherhoodmutual.com. The Granting Council will make final decisions by July 31, 2026. The Granting Council is made up of more than a dozen pastors, administrators and executive leaders from some of the most influential churches and ministries around the country. In addition to the funding allotted to them, some recipients also receive a year of mentorship from members of the Granting Council.
Over the past four years, 28 church programs have received grants, with 10 being awarded last year. Those grants ranged from $2,500 to $35,000. Number of grants awarded each year varies, based on the scope and financial need of the projects.
