ERIE (BRN) – On Saturday, Aug. 23, Walnut Creek Baptist Church in Erie, Pennsylvania, had the privilege of hosting our Back to School Bash for our community, and we are praising God for what He did!
Over 600 people from our community came out to enjoy the day together. Families experienced fun activities, food, games, bounce houses and much more. We were also able to bless families by giving away backpacks and school supplies, helping students start the year prepared and encouraged.
Our team engaged in 62 Gospel conversations with individuals and families. Many more were prayed with personally, and we saw hearts touched by the love of Christ. We rejoice that one person trusted Christ as Savior during the event! Praise God for this life transformed by the Gospel.
Beyond the numbers, the Back to School Bash allowed us to show Christ’s love in action, build relationships with families in our community and open the door for future ministry opportunities. This event was not only a great success in terms of turnout but, more importantly, it was a time where the Gospel was clearly shared and lives were impacted for eternity.
We are deeply thankful for everyone who prayed, volunteered, gave and served to make this event possible. God is at work in our community, and we are humbled to be part of what He is doing!
