NATRONA HEIGHTS, Pa., (BRN) – Harvest Community Church in Natrona Heights, Pennsylvania, recently hosted an oil change event for widows and single moms in our community.
At the beginning of August, we purchased all the supplies we would need to change the oil in 20 cars that belong to single mothers and widows in our neighborhood.
The oil change team quickly and caringly changed the oil and did a brief inspection on all the cars. While the cars were being worked on, another team of volunteers set up a waiting room in our building with snacks, cold brew coffee and personal gifts for each woman. Our team was also available to talk with each woman.
These volunteers did an incredible job, from the set up to the Gospel conversations that they had with each woman. They prepared gifts and handed them out to each woman, along with a handwritten card written by a lady in our church.
Our entire church did an incredible job on this event!
