St. John Memorial Baptist Church in Philadelphia, Pa., preps with expectancy for ‘Loving our Neighbors’ event 

On May 27, St. John Memorial Baptist Church in Philadelphia, Pa., spent the day spreading the gospel through a special “Loving our Neighbors” event. In the days leading up to the event, the church prepared by offering evangelism training classes and loading trailers full of items to give away.

During the event, members of St. John’s gave away soap, hand sanitizer wipes, water, and other goods to community members. They also had the opportunity to pray and have gospel-centered conversations with their neighbors!

Rolling Hills Church in Verona, Pa., feeds nearly 700 at Memorial Day Parade

Over the Pentecost and Memorial Day weekend, Rolling Hills Church in Verona, Pa., served its community by feeding nearly 700 people at the Memorial Day parade in Penn Hills! The church also handed out 17 new Bibles and had countless gospel-driven conversations with those in attendance.

Josiah’s Way in Lewistown, Pa., gives God’s Word and offers prayer at Veterans picnic 

On May 26, Josiah’s Way in Lewistown, Pa., participated in the Mifflin County Veterans picnic. The church handed out over 50 Bibles to those attending and prayed with those who visited their stand.

BRN EVANGELISM GRANT: Ridgeline Community Church addresses ‘hopelessness’ with the gospel at women’s spring brunch

On May 6, Ridgeline Community Church in Telford, Pa., hosted a brunch for women in their community and shared the hope of Christ with those who attended. Read More

South Central PA pastors enjoy weekend of respite at Raystown Lake

As part of the BRN’s Pastoral Blessings program, the BRN sponsored a pastor’s retreat at Raystown Lake in partnership with the Keystone Baptist Association for South Central pastors on May 22-24. “This was designed with no schedule,” shared Steve Sheldon, BRN’s Church Health consultant in the South Central region. “It was just down time for the pastors.”

Baptisms:

First Baptist Church of Clarion in Clarion, Pa., witnesses God’s faithfulness through 12 being baptized

On Resurrection Sunday (April 9), First Baptist Church of Clarion in Clarion, Pa., witnessed the faithfulness of God as 12 individuals – including a whole family – expressed their faith in Jesus through baptism. Pastor Jason Hunter baptized the father/husband of the family, who then baptized his wife and both of their daughters!

Rolling Hills Church in Verona, Pennsylvania, baptizes four individuals during Pentecost weekend 

On May 28, Rolling Hills Church in Verona, Pa., celebrated four individuals taking the next step in their walk with Christ through baptism! During the service, the church also ordained a young man into their diaconal ministry and welcomed eight new members!
