KITTANNING, Pa., (BRN) – Harvest Church, Kittanning, held our annual Fall Fun Fest on Oct. 8, from 2 p.m.to 6 p.m. The purpose of this event was to provide a fun night out for the whole family to enjoy where they were provided an opportunity to hear the gospel, participate in engaging activities with their children and enjoy some good food.

Our mission at Harvest is to increase the health and size of God’s church everywhere. Our goal for hosting this event was to draw in people who may never have entered a church building before and give them an event to attend at our facility where they would not only enjoy a fun evening but, most importantly, hear the gospel presented. We promoted this event through a variety of advertising opportunities including paid aids on social media and newspaper bulletins. By encouraging registration for the event, we were able to collect follow-up information to reach out and get to know new people.

Harvest Church, Kittanning, held their annual Fall Fun Fest on Oct. 8. The purpose of this event was to provide a fun night out for the whole community.

Upon arrival, families received a passport book, a map of our church campus and an invitation to our weekend services. The passport was created for families to use so they would know how to go through all the stations. Families were able to hear the gospel, go trunk-or-treating, play games, use the bounce houses, get their faces painted, make some crafts, walk through a craft/vendor show and enjoy some good food together!

We had over 30 cars decorated and manned with volunteers who were handing out candy to families and engaging in conversation with them. We rented four bounce houses for the children to enjoy. Several of our children’s ministry volunteers were painting faces while talking to the children and their parents – and inviting them to attend church.

Between the Fall Fun Fest and Craft/Vendor Show, we had over 1,500 people register for this event! The final count was closer to 2,000 people in attendance because there were many who came who had not previously registered. Most, if not all, of those people got to hear the gospel – praise God! Many of the families came to church the following day and heard the gospel presented again! It is incredible to see God working in the lives of our community members!
