INDIANA, Pa., (BRN) – The weekend of June 6-8 the 43rd annual Historic Canal Days Fair occurred in Saltsburg, Pennsylvania.
Saltsburg is a quiet town located on the Kiskiminetas River, about 20 miles south of Harvest Church – Indiana Campus. While the town population is under 800 people, several thousand people converge on the location each year for this celebration.
Due to the area having a lack of healthy churches, a team from Harvest saw it as an opportunity to reach out with the gospel and increase the awareness of a healthy, Jesus loving church nearby.

The team rented a booth area and provided free hot dogs and bracelets to the guests. Different church members served throughout the weekend with our CRAVE teens filling the Saturday evening schedule.
In all, over 300 hot dogs were given away, along with several hundred bracelets. Hundreds of handouts were distributed that contained church information and a clear gospel message.
Many guests were open to conversation and relationships were developed. Additionally, a number of conversations occurred with people who expressed a desire to find a healthy church where they could worship. We estimate that at least 50 gospel conversations took place during the Canal Days Fair.
