PITTSBURGH (BRN) – At the beginning of January, Steel City Church in Pittsburgh took a group of college students to WinCon, a winter conference designed for college students, in Raleigh, North Carolina.
The conference was amazing, with over a thousand college students gathering to worship God and grow in their walk with the Lord!
Our students enjoyed a lot of time together driving down to North Carolina and back, which enriched a sense of community among them. They also were encouraged and challenged during the sessions of the conference. The Gospel was shared during each main session of the conference, but most prominently during the first and last session. These were messages from Joel 2 and Acts 8.
Some of our students were so challenged that on Jan. 19 they went around campus asking to share the Gospel and pray with students! Other students felt a stirring to commit some part of their life to overseas mission. Best of all, one student gave their life to Christ!
