A prayer for the ‘hundreds and hundreds’ of volunteers serving June 27-28 during Serve Wilkes-Barre/Scranton

On June 27-28, Baptist Resource Network churches will serve residents in Wilkes-Barre (“The Diamond City”) and Scranton (“The Electric City”) in Northeast Pennsylvania in partnership with Cross Creek Community Church, Iglesia Electric City Church, Nebo Baptist Church, Plaid Community Church, Restored Church, and The Grove Church, among others.

Barry Whitworth, executive director of the Baptist Resource Network, shares a prayer for the June 27-28 Serve Wilkes-Barre/Scranton missions weekend. His prayers focus on the “hundreds and hundreds” of volunteers, for project leaders over the 60+ projects, for good weather, for multiple opportunities to have Gospel conversations, and for “a harvest of souls, above all things.”

Barry has been in ministry for over 30 years, serving as a mission pastor, associate pastor, church planter, pastor, interim pastor, transitional pastor and planter, church planting strategist, lead church planting catalyst, church planting director, and now executive director. Before his calling as Executive Director of the Baptist Resource Network in February 2017, he was a church planting missionary and served the Multiplying Churches Team Leader for the BRN.
