The SBC Abuse Prevention & Response team has launched the newest version of the Essentials curriculum. This curriculum is designed to equip churches in all areas of abuse prevention and response.
In this latest version of Essentials, there are two new concepts: Equipping churches to appoint a child safety coordinator as a means of building capacity and helping pastors with “ownership” and implementation of child safety measures.
Additionally, there’s curriculum to help create a response plan in advance of any allegation, which is designed to help prepare a ministry to report and manage that situation based on predetermined steps, team, and policies.
Essentials 2.0 will also soon be available in Spanish. Churches can request these translated resources now and they will be shipped as soon as they are printed!
Both English and Spanish Resource Guides are also now available.
