KITTANNING, Pa., (BRN) – The tables were set for a classic tea event to include not only tea, but a four course meal – soup, sandwiches, scones and a dessert – at Harvest Community Church in Kittanning, Pennsylvania, on May 10.
Approximately 130 women entered the room full of teapots and flowers, china and glittery lights, ready for a joyous time together, all the while, possibly unaware of how God would use this time.

God revealed Himself in so many of the details, from the servitude hearts of the men who volunteered to serve the meal and tea to the women guests, to the grace and kindness shown when little mishaps crept up and through the words and truth shared to all. It was a time of reflection and connection.
Women were given the opportunity to see God’s goodness boldly proclaimed at the beginning of time as well as now and find solace in knowing He never changes.
The gospel was shared throughout the event. Each table of ladies had a hostess from Harvest church who was encouraged to share the goodness of God (the theme of the event) and point conversations toward Jesus.
The gospel was also presented by the main speaker of the event Tabbatha Adams, through a scripture-focused message pointing all who attended to look to Jesus the founder and perfecter of our faith. A time of worship through song was included in the event, with each song presenting the gospel through it’s lyrics.
The BRN Evangelism Grant supported all of it.
Every woman was encouraged in her waiting, in her lamenting, in her joy and in confusion that God has a purpose for each of them to be there. He used our event in mighty ways that we are confident we will see fruit from in the years to come.
