Hello, BRN Family! It’s good to be with you today!
On March 16, 2026, the Baptist Resource Network of PA/SJ will host its Advance Evangelism Conference. Did you catch that date? 3/16, as in John 3:16! What a perfect day to hone up on some evangelism skills!
To that point, this year’s Advance Conference will be held back at Calvary Church in State College, Pa., and will feature keynote speakers, William “Duce” Branch of Southeastern Seminary and Dave Earley, former professor at Liberty University. Both of these men have extensive experience in leading and teaching evangelism.
Branch has 30 years of ministry experience focused particularly on urban contexts. He continues to travel, both nationally and internationally, sharing the gospel through standard preaching and gospel-centered music.
Earley, a best-selling author of 25 books, is an experienced disciple-maker specializing in prayer, evangelism, discipleship, small groups, and spiritual leadership. I know you will look forward to learning from these leaders’ expertise.
We will also host six breakout sessions, ranging from “Evangelism 101” by our very own Dr. Larry Anderson to “Local and Foreign Missions” by Pastors Tim Morris of Restored Church and Ricky Wilson of Christian Faith Fellowship in Downingtown, as well as Quintell Hill, church mobilization strategist from the IMB.
We’ll also hear from the BRN’s communications associate, Macala Mays, as she shares about “Marketing the Mission,” Collegiate Minister Brian Musser, who will teach on “Reaching the Next Generation,” and Kids Ministry Strategist Christy Kraus, who will coach us on “Evangelism for Kids.”
Finally, we will hear about “Marketplace Missions,” led by Pastors Alonzo Johnson and Rafael Torres and pastor’s wife, Edna Chery, who all have shared Christ in work settings.
Also, we are excited to announce that members from State College’s Calvary Church and Unity Church of Jesus Christ will lead worship again. If you have attended a previous Advance Conference with them, you know how powerful the time of worship is!
We are more than excited about how this conference will encourage our churches (and all its members) to share Christ with others, near and far. Please join us!
