ERIE, Pa., (BRN) – We are thrilled to report that Walnut Creek Baptist Church’s Vacation Bible School (VBS) was a huge success! This year, we hosted Zoomerang VBS from June 26-30, 2022 for children in the Erie community.

While other churches in our community have discontinued their VBS programming, due to lack of volunteers, we were blessed to have over 60 members of our church family give of their time during the week. We began our week with 110 children registered; over half of the children were from families outside our church.

Children enjoyed a week of learning about the value that God has given to all creatures at Walnut Creek Baptist Church.

Throughout each evening, divided classes of children ages 2-12 discovered the land of Australia through crafts, science experiments and snacks. Most importantly, they spent their lesson time learning about the value that our Lord has given to all creatures. With the money we received though a Baptist Resource Network (BRN) evangelism grant, we were able purchase Bibles to hand out to children and procure more classroom materials. As a result of the Lord working through our efforts, we were thrilled to guide a few children to salvation – to God be the glory! Receiving this grant has only added to the blessings that we have experienced because of partnering with the BRN. We thank you for your support and we look forward to giving that same support to fellow network churches in the future.
