I wanted to share two great opportunities being offered by the Baptist Resource Network in the upcoming weeks.
First, I am excited to invite you to a special evening of hope and compassion at a fundraising banquet on Friday, May 30 at Winfield Baptist Church in North Central Pennsylvania. This banquet will support the construction of a much-needed Response and Relief Center in Pennsylvania to provide a place to protect equipment and assets from the environment, to hold training, and to house mission teams. This center will be on the property of Winfield Baptist Church, where several disaster relief units already are stored.
The facility will allow for the continued growth and gospel influence of the disaster relief work in and across our region. We cannot do this work without your generous donations. Second, I wanted to invite you to participate in Serve Wilkes-Barre/Scranton, a missions effort boasting over 65 projects for churches to plug into on June 27-28. The BRN seeks to partner with our churches in the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton region, help them make Gospel impact, and transform their communities. Your participation is vital!
