#1: Ladies, this one is for you! The BRN will host a Woven Women Leadership Development Conference on November 12, for women in any leadership position in their church. To be held at the Hub in Harrisburg, the conference will feature Jenny Provin, Certified Leadership Coach and Consultant with the South Carolina Baptist Convention, and will address the topics, “Crucial Conversations” and “Drainers & Gainers.” The goal of the conference is to help women develop leadership skills and connect with other women who are leaders in their churches. #2: Dr. Larry Anderson, BRN Director of Church Health and Evangelism, along with several Philadelphia pastors and other colleagues will host a F.U.E.L. (“Fellowship. Unity. Empowerment. Leadership.”) Conference on November 18 at Ezekiel Baptist Church in Philadelphia. Topics include “Inconvenient truths for the post-pandemic church,” “Key components to establishing a discipleship culture in your church,” “Identifying and confronting 3 obstacles to discipling the next generation” and more. #3: Speaking of Ezekiel Baptist Church, we’d like to take the opportunity to welcome Ezekiel’s pastor, Dr. Brian King, as BRN’s new Executive Board president. Dr. King, who was elected during our October 4 business session prior to the Accelerate Conference, has previously served as BRN convention president and on several SBC committees. Currently, he is a trustee for GuideStone Financial Resources. The BRN team is thankful for Dr. King and all of the faithful leaders serving on the executive board.
