Hey BRN Family, Elizabeth here and it’s time for the July Top 5!

#1- With summer now upon us, it is the perfect time to step away from it all and to refresh in the Lord. To that end, ministers’ wives are invited to meet with the Lord in a beautiful garden in Pennsylvania/South Jersey (at one of four optional locations) to reflect, connect, and resurrect their passion for Him. The first gathering is at Hershey Gardens on July 9-10, but there are others planned in Longwood Gardens in greater Philadelphia, Phipps Conservatory in Pittsburgh, and Grounds for Sculpture, in Hamilton Township, New Jersey. Reserve your space right away at brnunited.org/meetHim.

#2- Every year, the BRN hosts a Week of Prayer and Offering to support missions and ministry right here in our region. Held on September 12-19, this year’s focus will be on #LovePASJ, an initiative that equips churches to love their neighbors in Pennsylvania and South Jersey. All proceeds from this year’s offering will help churches KNOW their neighbors and neighborhoods through exegesis, prayerwalking and relationship building; SHOW their neighbors Christ’s love, compassion and offer for salvation; and GROW their neighbors into fully developing disciples who seek to love their own neighbors and neighborhoods. For more information, visit online at lovepasj.com.

#3- The Accelerate Conference, the annual business session and gathering of the Baptist Resource Network, is Tuesday, October 5. Early registration is now open. You’ll hear from special guest, author and church consultant Will Mancini, and BRN Executive Director Barry Whitworth as well as a variety of breakout leaders focused on helping churches love their neighbors. Learn more at acceleratepasj.com.

#4- What are your summer evangelism plans? The Baptist Resource Network would like to help you! Churches may apply for evangelism grants specifically to support and promote outreach events and evangelistic efforts. Does your church or church plant have an upcoming event or training that you think would qualify? Apply today at brnunited.org/resources/evangelism-grant. Also, even if you don’t apply for an evangelism grant, be sure to share your stories and photos about your efforts through our online portal, brnunited.org/news-tips, so we can celebrate with you. Thank you!

#5-The end of June marked the retirement of our long-time friend and colleague, Robert Turner, who has officially completed his assignment as director of BRN Next collegiate ministry. The BRN wishes to thank Robert for the impactful ministry and leadership he has extended to countless colleagues, young adults and students. “Well done, good and faithful servant!” Want to know more about Robert? Check out last week’s “50 Stories of Transformation” podcast interview and story at brnunited.org/news.

That’s all for July. Thanks for watching, BRN Family. We appreciate you and we are thankful for you!
