Dr. Barry Whitworth: Hello BRN family! It’s good to be with you today. I’m joined today with Dr. Larry Anderson, our director of church health and evangelism, and we’re excited to share something with you that we’re hoping you will participate in.
Before we share exactly what that is, let me set the stage by saying, you know, part of what we’re trying to do in helping churches accelerate Kingdom movement is to provide two venues a year to where we encourage and motivate and we train our pastors and churches to really get after making a difference in Pennsylvania/South Jersey.
In the fall, early fall, it’s our Accelerate Conference. That’s where we gather together, we have an annual business session, but then we have that time to where we can motivate and encourage you as a pastor and people that might come from your church. Well, we’ve also set the stage for something to happen in the early spring and that is now going to be called what Dr. Anderson?
Dr. Larry Anderson: It’s called the Advance Conference!
Dr. Barry Whitworth: All right, well tell us a little bit about the Advance Conference.
Dr. Larry Anderson: Well the Advance Conference is our first one, we’re excited about it. We have Ed Stetzer coming, we have Daniel Yang coming, we have Pastor Chris Betner coming, David Ludwig, our own David Ludwig coming, I’ll be doing a breakout. We’ll be speaking on how to minister to a post COVID world, how to reach the next generation, how to use digital resources to go from just social media to social ministry – just going to be doing a lot of equipping for our pastors to help them move forward during this difficult time.
Dr. Barry Whitworth: So, this is a conference built around helping to train our pastors -inspire our pastors – to know how to handle these difficult challenges in our culture so that we can better #LovePASJ, as we say, so we can impact all this lostness that we have around. So, where is the Advance Conference going to be now?
Dr. Larry Anderson: Calvary Church in State College.
Dr. Barry Whitworth: And what’s the day?
Dr. Larry Anderson: March 21 – Spring! We’re gonna spring forward.
