As Executive Board President, I’ve had a front-row seat to what God is doing through the Baptist Resource Network (BRN) to lift up pastors and strengthen churches across Pennsylvania and South Jersey.
I believe that taking care of those who take care of the congregation is one of our highest and most influential responsibilities. One of the great joys of this network is seeing how intentionally we pour back into the men and women who spend their lives pouring out.
Through Pastor Blessing initiatives — whether it’s a simple gift, a family-focused event or a surprise “we see you” moment — our BRN family has made it a priority to refill the buckets of those who are constantly emptying theirs for the sake of the Gospel.
But the real power is in relationships.
Our staff connects personally with pastors, walking beside them, praying with them, showing up when it matters and offering practical help when the load gets heavy. Time and again, these relationships spark renewal, provide courage and breathe fresh strength into pastors and churches that simply need someone to stand with them.
Let me say, not just as Board president, but as a pastor who has personally benefited from this network: I’m deeply grateful.
The evangelism grants we’ve received have helped our church take real, measurable strides in serving our community and sharing Christ. The Serve Tour opened doors for our people to experience missions firsthand — many for the very first time — broadening their vision of what God is doing beyond our own zip code.
I genuinely love being part of something bigger than myself and bigger than my church. I believe wholeheartedly in the work we are doing together to advance God’s Kingdom… because at the end of the day, that’s the whole point.
