Hello, BRN Family, I wanted to give you a quick thank you and a shout out for all that you did to make Serve Wilkes-Barre/Scranton such an amazing weekend. You really stepped up and you really stepped out in faith to come and to join us to make a gospel impact in that region. We are thankful.
We had 48 of our churches who signed up and mobilized and came and participated. We did 54 projects, which accumulated over 10,000 volunteer hours. We had 32 people give their lives to Christ, and we had over 1,500 gospel conversations where seeds were planted.
And we can’t wait to see what God does with those seeds as people are coming behind even now, to build those relationships and build those bridges to see God do amazing things in this region. We’re also excited to announce June 26th and 27th next year. Save that date! That is Serve Lehigh Valley, and we want you to come and to participate and make an impact in that region next year. So, if you came with 15 this year, come with 30 next year!
And what excites me about everything is we’re already hearing stories of people that participated in Serve Wilkes-Barre/Scranton, going home saying, “Let’s do what we did there in our community and our neighborhood.” That’s what Compassion Ministry is all about.
So we want to hear more of those stories of how you’ve taken your experience at Serve Wilkes-Barre/Scranton, and now doing it in your neighborhood, in your community, in your church. So share those stories with us today.
