SMICKSBURG, Pa., (BRN) – Penn West Kids Camp is an annual partnership between churches scattered throughout western Pennsylvania to provide a week-long camp experience for kids that, ultimately, points them to the Hope of Jesus Christ.
This partnership includes: Zion Church (Clarion, Petroleum Valley, and Jefferson County), Grace Community Church (Curlsville), First Baptist Church (Clarion), Faithbridge Community Church (Pittsburgh), and Catalyst Church (Altoona).
This year, we were able to take 97 campers to Little Mahoning Bible Camp in Smicksburg, Pennsylvania, for the week, where they learned about God’s “Kingdom Quest.”

During the week, we primarily focused on exposing them to God’s good Word. We also had super fun electives, tasty food, awesome games, and electric chapel time.
On our last evening of camp, we had the opportunity to provide live music, hear heartwarming testimonies from our campers, and engage in a powerful prayer time with our counselors, who prayed directly over campers and lifted them up by name to our God about anything the kiddos wanted to give to Him.
After going through the decision cards, we had eight campers accept Jesus into their heart as their Lord and Savior (for the first time) and 30 campers declare that they are ready for baptism!
We would like to thank the Baptist Resource Network for their donation to the camp through an Evangelism Grant. The BRN’s generosity truly made this week happen and we can not say thank you enough.
