PHILADELPHIA (BRN) – Party in the Park was an awesome night for the Harleysville, Pennsylvania, community and for Keystone North Church, who hosted the event.
On June 12, Keystone North provided inflatables, a rock wall, bungee jumping, free food and Kona water ice for its community. They also gave out prizes throughout the night.
In the past, we have had more people at similar events, but with this event we really felt like the quality of conversation was so much better! We had so many conversations where we were able to share why we’re doing this event and about the love of Jesus.
We were able to pray over multiple people, and just have conversations about why a church would do this kind of event in a community.
Another really cool part of this event was that Keystone North partnered with a local food insecurity organization and gave people extra raffle entries if they brought food donation items. We gathered a lot of food items. The food insecurity organization also received donations and they were very grateful for the partnership.
It was awesome to give people an intentional way to partner with us in doing something Jesus calls us to — feeding the hungry, helping the poor.
Our team was really able to connect with people and share God’s love with them. We believe there will be great fruit to come from this! We had 600-700 people in attendance and more than 70 volunteers.
Thank you, BRN, for partnering with our Party in the Park event!
