We want to thank the Baptist Resource Network of Pennsylvania/South Jersey (BRN) for providing an evangelism grant for the We Are Rising Awards that took place at Great Commission Church on Sunday April 17.
We worked with our church members, community agencies and a local elected official to honor 10 people who are working to resurrect the community we serve. The results of this evangelistic outreach were tangible:
- We shared the Gospel through the preached word
- We secured relationships with several community agencies
- We exposed new families to the work we are doing at Great Commission
- Several of the individuals who were honored committed to returning to worship with us
- Our pastor was invited to deliver the opening prayer at Philadelphia City Council
We are extremely grateful for the grant we received from BRN. The grant helped us to reach the community for Christ!
