NASHVILLE (BRN) – Worship through song is a vital weekly practice for many of our Southern Baptist churches across the nation and right here in Pennsylvania and South Jersey. To help foster this essential ministry, the Southern Baptist Convention (SBC) Worship Research Committee is conducting a survey and asking all SBC churches to participate.

The purpose of the research committee and the survey is to “serve the church by providing research-driven insights that encourage, healthy, biblically-faithful worship,” as stated by the committee on the survey website. The survey is the first of its kind since 1938 and is funded and sponsored by SBC Worship in conjunction with The Worship Initiative.

Results from the survey will be announced on June 8 at the SBC Worship Micro Conference, which will take place during the SBC Annual Meeting in Orlando.

Baptist Resource Network (BRN) churches are being asked to participate in this 10-minute survey. Churches of all sizes, ethnicities and worship styles from across the SBC are encouraged to let their voices be heard by completing the survey.

So far, over 750 SBC churches have completed the survey, with two being from Pennsylvania and three from New Jersey. While the research committee is encouraged by this initial interest, they would love to hear from more churches in our two-state region.

Please consider contributing to this research effort by completing the SBC Worship Survey. Additional information about the survey can be found below. Results from the survey will be announced on June 8 at the SBC Worship Micro Conference, which will take place during the SBC Annual Meeting in Orlando. Additional questions about the survey can be sent to [email protected].
