On April 4, the Indiana Campus of Harvest Church in Indiana, Pennsylvania, hosted an Easter Egg Hunt outreach.
For the past several years, the event was held off-site in a neighboring town. Although the off-site event was well attended, the results did not yield the church attendance Harvest desired.
So this year, the church partnered with the Downtown Indiana business organization and participated in the Downtown Indiana Bunny Trail. This event allowed the church to set up a canopy right outside the church entrance.
Approximately 1000 people came by the location. The children received candy, while the parents could grab a cup of coffee and received a flyer with the Gospel message and information about Harvest Church.
Additionally, several members of Harvest’s evangelism team were present and engaged in direct Gospel conversations.
This event provided a tremendous opportunity to reach a large volume of the community, share Gospel tracts and literally point to the location of Harvest’s third floor church.
The evangelism grant from the BRN allowed Harvest Church Indiana to produce attractive, informative handouts and provide coffee and candy to all who passed by.
While it is unknown if anyone “prayed the prayer” during the event, Harvest did talk to at least 40 people about the Gospel and invite even more people to church!
