Hello, BRN Family. It’s great to be with you today!

As we press into prayer this year, I wanted to invite you to an important opportunity to pray onsite at the Pennsylvania State Capitol.

Our friends at the Church Ambassador Network have organized a BRN Day at the Capitol on Wednesday, February 4, for BRN pastors and their spouses. There, church leaders will have the opportunity to connect with legislators, offer prayer and encouragement, and gain a deeper understanding of current policies and legislation shaping our state.

You’ll also enjoy a Christian spiritual tour of the historic Capitol building, experiencing firsthand the heart of Pennsylvania’s government, as well as a light breakfast and lunch. This gathering will be held from 8:30 a.m. until 1:30 p.m.

During this wonderful opportunity, I encourage those meeting with legislators to share how they are ministering successfully to their shared communities and to offer your church as a partner to civic leaders. Let’s be bold in making gospel connections, through our conversations and our prayers!

1 Timothy 2 urges believers to pray and intercede for all people, including kings and all who are in high positions, “that we may lead a peaceful and quiet life, godly and dignified in every way” (v. 3).

Timothy said such prayer is “good,” and “pleasing in the sight of God our Savior,” (v. 3) “who desires all people to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth” (v. 4).

I urge you to come join us in this pivotal time of prayer for and connection with these civic leaders. May the Lord go before us and prepare the way!

Speaking of preparations, for those who are interested in staying longer in Harrisburg, the Harrisburg Mission House has been reserved for February 3-4.
