Hey BRN Family, Elizabeth here and it’s time for the December Top 5!
#1: It’s beginning to feel like Christmas! ‘Tis the season for giving! In fact, December 2 was Giving Tuesday, but you can celebrate giving any time! During this year’s Giving Tuesday, the Baptist Resource Network focused on five areas of ministry impact essential to the BRN’s work with churches: Pastoral Care and Wellness, Church Advancement, Compassion Ministry, Next Generation Mobilization, and Church Starting and Missions Sending. These funds allow individuals who seek to make a difference to give according to their passions. It’s not too late to give. Simply visit brnunited.org/impact-funds. Thank you!
#2: Starting in January 2026, the BRN will launch the “52 Weeks of Prayer” guide, a year-long journey through scripture and prayer topics, like evangelism, discipleship, leadership, and spiritual growth. Written by the BRN team and BRN pastors and ministry leaders, this free resource is designed to unite Pennsylvania/South Jersey believers in one bold movement of prayer. The “52 Weeks of Prayer” guide is free for BRN churches and ministries, and multiple copies may be requested at once. Churches desiring this resource are encouraged to contact the BRN Help Desk at [email protected]. Thank you!
#3: It’s almost time to fill out the annual census – uh, church report! The Annual Church Report (ACP, for short) is an annual statistical report churches voluntarily submit to the Southern Baptist Convention and the Baptist Resource Network each new or fiscal year. The ACP acts as a historical record for churches and provides information to help the BRN plan its ministries. We are asking that all churches fill out their ACP data no later than February 15, 2026. Information on how to fill out your form can be found at brnunited.org/acp or by contacting our Help Desk, [email protected] or (717) 652-5856. Thank you.
#4: With the new year right around the corner, you should know about two upcoming events we will host in January: a Disciple-Making One-Day Workshop on January 15 that features Kevin Marsico, chief of global ministry at Dynamic Church Planting International, and David Ludwig, BRN director of discipleship and leadership development. Also, on January 23-24, the BRN will host a Next Gen Winter Campus Missionary Learning Community for Next Gen missionaries, college and youth pastors and others who volunteer to minister to the next generation. Learn more about these exciting events at brnunited.org/events.
#5: And finally, we wish you, your family, and your church family a Christmas filled with the peace, joy, and hope that Christ brings. As we reflect on this season, we are grateful for you and for the partnership we share in God’s work. May His love surround you, His light guide you, and His blessings overflow in your life this Christmas and throughout the coming year. Merry Christmas!
That’s all for December. Thanks for watching, BRN Family. We appreciate you and we are thankful for you!
