KERR COUNTY, Tx., (Send Relief) – In the early morning hours of July 4, historic flash floods swept through Texas Hill Country, triggering a crisis that is still unfolding. The Guadalupe River surged 30 feet in less than two hours. At least 78 people have died, most in Kerr County, and more than 1,000 people have been rescued, including over 100 by air. Search teams continue working around the clock to locate missing campers, including 11 girls from a local Christian camp.
This disaster struck without warning. Campgrounds were overwhelmed, homes were swept away, and entire families are reeling. With your support, Southern Baptists are now on the ground in Texas, providing urgent help and sharing the hope of Christ.
BRN churches are invited to help our Texas brothers and sisters who are experiencing crisis by giving towards these Disaster Relief efforts. BRN churches can give financially here or learn more about the ongoing relief efforts at sendrelief.org.
