DESCRIPTION:About the Gathering:\nThis special day will be filled with meaningful opportunities as participants gather with the Church Ambassador Network at the Pennsylvania State Capitol to connect with legislators\, offer prayer and encouragement\, and gain a deeper understanding of current policies and legislation shaping our state. You’ll also enjoy a Christian spiritual tour of the historic Capitol building\, experiencing firsthand the heart of Pennsylvania’s government. \nWho’s Invited?\nChurch Ambassadors Network is excited to welcome Baptist Resource Network pastors and their spouses. \nDate/Time:\nPlease plan to be at the Capitol on Wednesday\, February 4\,  from 8:30 am until 1:30 pm. Light breakfast/coffee and lunch are included. A more detailed itinerary will be shared closer to the date. \nLodging:\nFor those who are interested in staying longer in Harrisburg\, the Harrisburg Mission House has been reserved for February 3-4. SUMMARY:National Day of Prayer Rally at PA Capitol
DESCRIPTION:Prayer is essential for God’s people. Where else can we go for help in time of need but to our good\, gracious\, omnipotent\, and omniscient God? \nOur state\, nation\, and world are hurting and we must be in constant prayer on its behalf. We see this call to prayer in Jeremiah 29 where the Lord says\, “But seek the welfare of the city where I have sent you into exile\, pray to the Lord on its behalf\, for in its welfare you will find your welfare.” \nGod’s people are exiles and sojourners in this world\, as we await the new heavens and earth\, but still\, we are called to pray to the Lord on its behalf so that righteousness\, justice\, and goodness increase in our world. \nTo this end\,  PA’s Church Ambassador Network is inviting you to join them as they come together and commemorate the National Day of Prayer by praying\, worshiping\, and reading from God’s Word in the beautiful PA Capitol Rotunda. This will be a wonderful time for believers from around the state to join in prayer for our families\, state\, nation\, and world. \nThis time of prayer will take place Wednesday\, May 7\, at the Harrisburg Capitol Main Rotunda (501 N. 3rd St.\, Harrisburg\, PA) from 11 a.m. – 12 p.m. (Note: The Church Ambassador Network is hosting this event a week later than the official National Day of Prayer date so legislators and staff can join since it’s a session day). \nThis is an incredible opportunity for us to lay our cares and burdens before a loving and powerful God. What a gift to be free to come before Him and trust in His sovereignty! We will gather as a community and body of believers\, united in faith and our shared goal to bring prayer to the Capitol building. \nFollowing the prayer gathering\, pastors are encouraged to join the Church Ambassador Network Team in handing out Bibles to PA legislators. \nREGISTER: \nClick here to register for this event. (This event is free.) \nPARKING INFO: \nStreet parking is usually available on 3rd Street near the steps to the main entrance of the capitol. To pay for parking\, the “ParkMobile” app is recommended. You can easily download it in the app store for free. Street parking is 4.00/hr and is located closer to than garage. The parking zone # is 9122. Another parking option is The Harrisburg University Garage. It is located at 326 Market Street and is roughly a 10-minute walk to the capitol entrance. Parking at the garage is $15.00 for the first four hours and $30.00 after 4 hours. \nParking options can be found here. \n \n

SUMMARY:Clergy Prayer Team at PA State Capitol
DESCRIPTION:As you may know\, a lot is happening at Pennsylvania’s State Capitol in Harrisburg from heated debates in the chambers to a busy rotunda to impassioned committee meetings. There is no question that the tensions are high and now more than ever a light must shine in what has become an even darker people’s house. We\, along with the gospel message of Christ\, are that light and we have an opportunity to shine. \nWith that in mind\, the Church Ambassador Network (CAN) is excited to resume their Clergy Prayer Team mission at the Capitol. This will be a time to visit and pray with various legislators and their staff as CAN continues its efforts to make an impact in our State Assembly. It would be such an amazing blessing to have the presence of local pastors and church leaders join them in these opportunities. \nCAN is looking to schedule the visits during specific session days for the next six months. Here are the days they have signaled for the clergy prayer time: \n\nTuesday\, April 25th\nTuesday\, May 9th\nTuesday\, June 6th\nTuesday\, June 20th\nTuesday\, June 27th\n\nThe start time will be at 9:00 a.m. and conclude at about 1:00 p.m. including lunch. \nSign up for Clergy Prayer Team
