WILLOW GROVE, Pa., (BRN) – This summer, the youth ministry of First Baptist Church of Crestmont in Willow Grove, Pennsylvania, embarked on an unforgettable journey of faith, service and love. From July 20–28, 16 of our youth and six leaders traveled to San Juan, Puerto Rico, to partner with YouthWorks Missions Organization for an incredible missions experience.

For eight days, our group walked in the footsteps of Jesus by serving others, building relationships and boldly sharing the gospel. Each day included prayer and devotion, so that our youth could completely absorb what God was doing. Our team worked on projects that impacted the local community, from assisting with repairs and beautification efforts to supporting local ministries. These acts of service were not just physical work, they were expressions of Christ’s love in action.

Youth students from First Baptist Church of Crestmont in Willow Grove, Pa., spent eight days on mission in Puerto Rico, serving people there and sharing the gospel.

Beyond the labor, God opened doors for powerful conversations and testimony sharing. Our youth had the chance to share their personal stories of faith, offering hope and encouragement to all in attendance. These moments reminded us that missions is about more than tasks, they are about people, hearts and eternal impact. Through these interactions, many seeds were planted, and the love of Jesus was shared in ways that words alone could never capture.

Of course, the trip was not all work and no play! Our youth enjoyed exploring the vibrant culture of Puerto Rico, experiencing its beauty and laughing together during fun activities organized by YouthWorks and First Baptist. These times of fellowship deepened friendships and created memories that will last a lifetime.

As a church family, we give thanks to God for the faithfulness of our youth missionaries, who stepped out of their comfort zones to serve others. We also extend heartfelt appreciation to our chaperones and youth leaders, whose guidance, sacrifices and prayers made this trip possible. Your leadership and commitment to discipling the next generation is a blessing beyond measure.

Above all, we celebrate what God has done, and will continue to do, through the lives touched during this mission. As Scripture reminds us, “How beautiful are the feet of those who bring the good news” (Romans 10:15). May this experience ignite a lifelong passion for serving Christ both near and far. To God be the glory!
