FREEPORT, Pa., (BRN) – For the second year, Expressway Baptist Church in Freeport, Pennsylvania, hosted a community wide Easter egg hunt/outing.

On March 23, we started the event with a gospel presentation to all the children and parents, explaining the reason we celebrate Easter. Pastor Daniel McCrosky clearly shared the gospel of the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus Christ to the children and parents. Then we separated the children into four different age groups and let them hunt for eggs that were clearly visible.

After the egg hunt, we opened the church and had a variety of games the children could play and a bouncy house.

We estimate that 50 people came to the event and heard the gospel. Out of these 50, we saw 15 engage in further gospel conversations. Though we do not know of any salvations taking place that day, we know that seeds were planted and that God will give the growth!
