PITTSBURGH (BRN) – We are overjoyed to report that there were 190 people at Pittsburgh Baptist Church for our Christmas Joy event, and 60 more online watching.

My choir is normally under 10 people, but there were 28 in the choir for this event, from three churches. We gave a clear gospel message from the narration that I wrote, and the message that Pastor Kim Grueser gave. It was a powerful evening.

I am the Director of Music and a professional trumpet player and writer/arranger. I wrote a special arrangement for my trumpet students to play, five of which are not believers and come from non-believing homes. The students’ parents all attended the program as well.

We had an orchestra of 18, some of which are my colleagues who don’t know the Lord and many who are believers. We also had a pre-program music recital that some young people played Christmas selections on various instruments.

Though we are unsure of how many gospel conversations took place during this event, we are confident that seeds were planted for the gospel!
