SUMMARY:Mission Dignity Sunday
DESCRIPTION:Since 1918\, GuideStone Financial Resources has been on a “Mission” to provide “Dignity” to retired Southern Baptist ministers\, workers and their widows. These are men and women who have faithfully served God’s people and now find themselves struggling to meet even basic needs. Many served small\, rural churches that paid only modest salaries and couldn’t afford to contribute to their pastors’ retirement. Often\, these loyal soldiers of the cross had to work extra jobs just to make ends meet. \nMission:Dignity currently helps almost 1\,800 people with extra money needed for housing\, food and vital medications. It has also ensured a well-deserved dignity\, independence and\, often\, the ability to continue serving. \nTo promote Mission:Dignity Sunday in your church\, download videos\, ads\, sermon guides and more here. \nView video interview with Mission:Dignity’s Kyle Scott\, operations manager at GuideStone Financial Services: \n

SUMMARY:PA/SJ State Missions Offering (Traditional Week)
DESCRIPTION:2020 State Missions Offering Goal: $30\,000\nThe State Missions Offering is an annual observance in Baptist Resource Network (BRN)-affiliated churches that highlights what God is doing across Pennsylvania and South Jersey. Each summer\, local congregations learn about\, pray for and give to support special ministries\, outreach projects and other initiatives\, such as collegiate ministries\, volunteer ministries\, disaster relief\, and emergency funding for pastors\, which are uniquely connected to PA/SJ Baptists and not funded through regular giving streams. \nFourteen million people across Pennsylvania and Southern New Jersey do not have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ\, which makes the work of expanding the Kingdom through the BRN and its churches crucial. To that end\, every year\, Baptists across the BRN pray for and give financially to expand God’s Kingdom work right here in our own backyards. \nNote: Each church may choose to observe the Week of Prayer and Offering for the Baptist Resource Network at any time\, but two dates have been added to the calendar: the traditional timing during the week after Labor Day or an alternate week of the first full week of August. Thank you for your prayers and generous gifts!

SUMMARY:REVIVE! Christ and His Church Virtual Conference
DESCRIPTION:God has a purpose for every church. There is much that He wants to do through each church. However\, it has been our experience that God gives each church and its leaders “crossroads moments” in their history where they must make decisions based on faith if they are to continue to be used to fulfill the purposes God has in mind for them. It has also been our experience that the current health of any church is a summation of the decisions made over many years.\nFeaturing Richard Blackaby and Mark Clifton\nBlackaby Ministries International (BMI)\, in partnership with the North American Mission Board\, is excited to bring “REVIVE: Christ and His Church” to the Baptist Resource Network of PA/SJ! Dr. Richard Blackaby\, author and president of Blackaby Ministries International\, and Dr. Mark Clifton of NAMB’s Legacy Church Planting will unpack several significant truths from the “Flickering Lamps” and “Reclaiming the Glory” books as well as from their extensive ministry with pastors and churches. \n \nThe virtual conference will begin at 8:30 am and conclude at 12:30 pm. \nThe cost of $10 includes the two featured books. \nWhether your church is experiencing positive spiritual health or finds itself struggling\, it is vitally important to be oriented to the Headship of Christ. We encourage you to set aside time to attend the entire gathering in September\, determined to park your heart before God\, allowing Him to speak to you in fresh and transforming ways. Bring several of your key leaders as well so that together\, you can experience God’s heart for you and your church! \nTestimonies from precious conference attendees:\nThe overwhelming response from the pastors was that they felt that every pastor in our association needed to hear what Richard Blackaby and Mark Clifton had to share. The Biblical challenge delivered by Richard Blackaby was powerful! The practical insights from Mark Clifton pertaining to the “nuts and bolts” of church revitalization was extremely insightful. The message of the Revive Conference is one that needs to be delivered to the church in North America! \nRevive\, there couldn’t be a more perfect name for this one day conference. I came expecting to get some good information on how to revive my congregation\, which I received\, but I came away with so much more. I came away with my own soul being revived. \nThe main thing I brought back with me from the conference was hope. \nSchedule/Topics:\n8:30–9:30 a.m.: Welcome from Barry Whitworth followed by Message by Richard Blackaby: \n “Christ’s Presence in the Church” – What difference does it make in the spiritual health of every church when we recognize and celebrate the presence of the Risen Christ in and among us? \n9:45–10:45 a.m.: Message by Mark Clifton \n “10 Attitude Adjustments Struggling Churches Must Make to be Healthy and Effective” – Mark will address essential areas of focus that pastors/church leaders can address to see the church move from being plateaued or in decline to renewed life and spiritual vitality. \n11:00–11:30 a.m.: 30 minutes of Q/A with Richard Blackaby/Mark Clifton \n11:45 a.m.–12:30 p.m.: Message by Richard Blackaby \n“Taking Your Leadership to the Next Level” – What more does God have in mind for your life as a leader that will  both honor Him and bless those you lead? God always wants to take our lives as leaders to the next level – what could that look like for your life as a leader? \nPlease note: Registration will close at 100 people. \n  \nRegister Now

SUMMARY:Alliance Defending Freedom (ADF) 2020 Election Guidance
DESCRIPTION:SAVE THE DATE\nOur partner Alliance Defending Freedom (ADF) Church Alliance often hears from our network of church leaders about how they feel burdened by issues at the intersection of faith\, politics\, and citizenship. In response\, they are developing a webinar\, which will assist in these crucial matters. \nChurch leaders will have the opportunity to better understand their legal rights – and potential limitations – when it comes to addressing politics\, current issues\, legislation\, and more. \nDuring this webinar\, ADF attorneys will discuss legal boundaries every pastor should know this election season. We will share guidance for speaking about political issues\, lobbying\, educating voters\, using church facilities\, and giving money to political causes. \nWe’ll also have a live Q&A session to provide general guidance on your election related questions. \nDownload accompanying guide. \n  \nRegister Now

SUMMARY:Global Hunger Relief Sunday
DESCRIPTION:Almost 800 million people around the world live with constant hunger\, and 1 in 6 in North America are undernourished. Southern Baptists are fighting the global hunger crisis through Global Hunger Relief. \nThrough Global Hunger Relief 100% of your donations go toward hunger needs. SUMMARY:OneDay·OneFocus virtual training event for women in ministry\, Oct. 29
DESCRIPTION:[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text font_size=”16″]OneDay·OneFocus is an exciting new virtual training event for women in ministry made possible by the unique circumstances of 2020! As colleagues from several state conventions discussed the challenge presented by having to cancel in-person trainings this fall\, the idea for OneDay·OneFocus was born. \nBased on Ephesians 4:1-16\, the goal of OneDay·OneFocus is to help women’s ministry leaders\, women in ministry\, missionary sisters and church planting wives understand while we all have differing roles in Kingdom work\, our aim is the same: make disciples. Susie Hawkins is the keynote speaker and Emily Rhyder from Providence Baptist Church in Raleigh will lead worship.  \nWomen’s ministry consultants from many state conventions will lead the breakout sessions. Breakout sessions will focus in the areas of disciple-making\, spiritual disciplines\, leadership\, ministry in a COVID-19 context and the needs of women. In addition\, participants will have opportunity to hear from IMB missionaries and NAMB church planter wives about their work and opportunities for partnership. Representatives from the women’s programs of the six Southern Baptist seminaries will also participate to share with leaders what they offer women’s ministry leaders. The event will conclude with a time of corporate prayer for our nation and churches. \nOneDay·OneFocus will begin at 5:00 p.m. EST on October 29. To learn more\, please visit onedayonefocus.com. Registration is only $10 and will provide access to all of the content through the end of the year. \n  \nRegister Now[/vc_column_text][vc_row_inner equal_height=”yes” content_placement=”middle”][vc_column_inner width=”1/2″][vc_single_image image=”7588″][/vc_column_inner][vc_column_inner width=”1/2″][vc_column_text]\nFeaturing\nKeynote Speaker\nAuthor and Speaker\nSusie Hawkins\nand 20 women’s leaders from across the Southern Baptist Convention\n[/vc_column_text][/vc_column_inner][/vc_row_inner][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text text_align=”center” font_size=”30″]\nBreakout Session Leaders\n[/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column width=”1/2″][vc_single_image image=”7383″][/vc_column][vc_column width=”1/2″][vc_column_text]\nDay of Prayer\n[/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space][vc_column_text font_size=”16″]Women are invited to pray together\, using this specially prepared Prayer Guide. SUMMARY:Disaster Relief Appreciation Day
DESCRIPTION:Whenever there is a disaster\, Southern Baptist Disaster Relief (SBDR) volunteers are often quickly on the scene—and they remained long after news cameras left town.
