DESCRIPTION:Pastors and churches in the Philadelphia area are invited to Prayer on the Parkway! \nSend Philadelphia will be hosting Prayer on the Parkway on Saturday\, Jan. 13\, from 9-11 a.m. This will be an intentional time of prayer led by Send Philly church planters. Those participating  will take time to pray for a regional disciple-making movement\, peace within the city of Philadelphia\, international disciple-making movements\, and raising up local planters and leaders. \nThere will be hot beverages available throughout the event. SUMMARY:Clergy Prayer Team at PA State Capitol
DESCRIPTION:As you may know\, a lot is happening at Pennsylvania’s State Capitol in Harrisburg from heated debates in the chambers to a busy rotunda to impassioned committee meetings. There is no question that the tensions are high and now more than ever a light must shine in what has become an even darker people’s house. We\, along with the gospel message of Christ\, are that light and we have an opportunity to shine. \nWith that in mind\, the Church Ambassador Network (CAN) is excited to resume their Clergy Prayer Team mission at the Capitol. This will be a time to visit and pray with various legislators and their staff as CAN continues its efforts to make an impact in our State Assembly. It would be such an amazing blessing to have the presence of local pastors and church leaders join them in these opportunities. \nCAN is looking to schedule the visits during specific session days for the next six months. SUMMARY:#LovePASJ Week of Prayer and State Missions Offering (Traditional Week)
DESCRIPTION:The State Missions Offering is an annual observance in Baptist Resource Network (BRN)-affiliated churches that highlights what God is doing across Pennsylvania and South Jersey. Each summer\, local congregations learn about\, pray for and give to support special ministries\, outreach projects and other initiatives\, such as collegiate ministries\, volunteer ministries\, disaster relief\, and emergency funding for pastors\, which are uniquely connected to PA/SJ Baptists and not funded through regular giving streams. \nFourteen million people across Pennsylvania and Southern New Jersey do not have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ\, which makes the work of expanding the Kingdom through the BRN and its churches crucial. To that end\, every year\, Baptists across the BRN pray for and give financially to expand God’s Kingdom work right here in our own backyards. \nNote: Each church may choose to observe the Week of Prayer and Offering for the Baptist Resource Network at any time\, but two dates have been added to the calendar: the traditional timing during the week after Labor Day or an alternate week of the first full week of August.
