SUMMARY:The Disciple-Making Church Seminar
DESCRIPTION:Is your current discipleship plan working? Are your small groups producing results? Are disciples being reproduced? Are leaders trained and equipped to multiply more disciples? You want to see your church actively growing. The Disciple Making Church Seminar wants to help you. \nAbout the Seminar:\nThis seminar will be an interactive experience where pastors will learn from Impact Discipleship Ministries the four keys to structuring their church to make and multiply disciples of Jesus Christ. \nThis seminar will focus on the following areas: \nTHE MISSION: \nThe first portion of the seminar revolves around defining the mission Jesus left for us in the Great Commission: To make disciples. What is a disciple\, and why do we need to make them? \nTHE MODEL: \nThe second portion of the seminar points us toward the perfect model for disciple-makers: Jesus. We look at how he modeled disciple-making for His own disciples in His own ministry. \nTHE METHOD: \nThe final portion of the seminar shows you the methods Jesus used to multiply disciples during His ministry on earth and ensured that they would continue to multiply once He left. \nTHE TAKEAWAYS: \nYou’ll walk away with a full understanding of the target\, strategy\, environments\, and leadership development needed to create a sustainable disciple making ministry in your church. \nPresenters:\nFounder and Director Ken Adams\nKen Adams grew up in Stone Mountain\, Georgia and graduated from Southwestern Theological Seminary in May 1989 with a Master of Divinity. Ken was called as the first pastor of Crossroads Church\, Newnan in June 1989. Ken has a passion for being a disciple of Christ\, and pouring his life into others who have a desire to walk as Jesus walked. As a result of that passion\, spiritual growth became the number one goal for Crossroads. Crossroad’s objective for reaching that goal is the “Disciple Making Church Strategy\,” which revolves around making and multiplying disciples of Jesus Christ. \nFOUNDING IMPACT MINISTRIES: After searching the market and not finding adequate resources on disciple making to help achieve the spiritual growth goals of Crossroads\, Ken began writing his own curriculum. Crossroads began to use his resources in its small groups in the early 1990’s. His curriculum was so successful in achieving Crossroad’s goals\, Ken decided to make his resources available to other churches. Impact Discipleship Ministries\, Inc. was founded in 2002. Since that time\, churches across the U.S. and across the globe are actively using Impact’s resources. Ken continues to lead training seminars on the Disciple Making Church strategy\, and continues to develop new resources to help churches and individuals develop fully trained disciples of Jesus Christ.  Ken and his wife\, Val\, live in Sharpsburg\, Georgia. \nConsultant and Coach Ron Cansler\nRon Cansler has been a pastor for 20 years and comes to Impact Ministries as the Executive Pastor of Global Impact with Crossroads Baptist Church in Newnan\, Ga. With his extensive experience\, Ron leads the Global Initiative to make disciples all over the world through church planting\, mission initiatives and church revitalization. Ron is a graduate of the University of North Georgia and Luther Rice Seminary. He and his wife have two adult daughters\, Kayla and Erin. Ron has lived in Colorado and New Mexico\, but has spent most of his life in North Georgia. Ron enjoys family time\, camping\, golfing\, traveling\, playing the guitar\, good coffee\, and great conversations with his wife. He is passionate about sharing God’s Word in a way that leads to life change. Ron loves the local church and believes it is the hope of the world when it follows Jesus and his plan. \nFlint River Baptist Association Mission Strategist Frank Nuckolls\nFrank Nuckolls is the Mission Strategist for the Flint River Baptist Association. He holds a doctorate in education and leadership and is credentialed in Ministry Coaching. Frank retired in 2019 after 28 years with the Georgia Baptist Mission Board. He also serves as an adjunct professor at New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary and a trainer for Impact Discipleship Ministries. He and his wife\, Joy\, have one son\, David\, two grandchildren\, and will celebrate 45 years of marriage in September. \n\nWho’s Invited:\nPastors and Discipleship Pastors \nLocations/Dates:\nChoose the location and date best for you! \n\nHarrisburg at the BRN Training Center on April 30\nPittsburgh at Rolling Hills Church on May 1\n\nCost:\nCost per participant is $15\, which covers lunch and materials. \nRegistration:\nThis event has been cancelled and registration has closed. \nQuestions?\nContact David Ludwig\, director of discipleship and leadership development for the Baptist Resource Network.

SUMMARY:Forces for Good Summit
DESCRIPTION:About this Event:\nChristians are called by God to be forces for good in our broken world. In Matthew 5\, Jesus tells us to “let your light shine before others\, so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father in heaven” (Matt 5:16 CSB).  A culture of goodness flows from our churches when each of us faithfully live out this calling in light of the hope we have in the gospel. \nWe must live out this God-given calling in every area of ministry – even in areas like: \nGovernance\, Financial Policies\, Technology\, Security Measures\, Risk Management\, Abuse Prevention Measures\, Leadership\, People Management\, and Insurance Policies. Intentional pursuit of Christ-honoring practices in these often overlooked areas of ministry supports\, enables\, and steward the work of the church\, ultimately leading to human flourishing as intended by God. \nBut what does it mean to be a force for good in these areas? How do we support and contribute to a culture of goodness in our churches that makes them bright lights to our watching world? \nJoin this gathering of executive and denominational leaders focused around organizational health and the role of holistic stewardship in making our churches and Christian ministries forces for good in our world. As we answer God’s call as Christians to be lights to the world\, we must consider how the leadership and administration of our ministries shape culture and how that culture impacts the brightness of our light. \nDon’t miss this full day summit with leaders from denominations\, associations\, and networks working together with industry leaders to innovate how to be forces for good in all aspects of our churches and organizations. \nWho’s Invited?\nPastors\, executive pastors\, children and youth directors and anyone that serves NextGen. \nDate/Time:\nFebruary 24\, 6:00 p.m. – February 25\, 2026 8:30 p.m. CST \nLocation:\nAll sessions to take place on the campus of Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in the Ray I.
