PHILADELPHIA (BRN) – Last year, during the fall quarter at Drexel University in Philadelphia, the university welcomed more than 3,000 NEW students. This already big number added to the thousands already enrolled at Drexel.

My hope during this quarter was to share the gospel with as many international students as I could in a meaningful and understandable way.

We had some events directly geared towards evangelism, and I had several one-on-one meetings with students to hang out as friends and also to share the truth of the gospel with them.

I would say that this quarter has been one of the most amazing quarters yet during my time at Drexel. God was so clearly moving in many students’ hearts.

Jane Elliot, associate director of BCM at Drexel University, engages in gospel conversations with students on campus.

Once in a while, I will have a gospel conversation with someone and never see that person again, but it seems like this quarter God allowed me to share with the same people many times. There were many responses to the gospel.

Some notable ones were the many students who said they respect what we believe and respect our religion, but they were not interested, and the few who heard the gospel message and had amazement in their hearts.

“I never heard that God loves me until today,” one student remarked.

Many of the students I was able to meet with and share the good news of Jesus with (thanks to the funds provided through a BRN evangelism grant) were from different countries and religious backgrounds – there were so many levels and barriers between us, but the gospel is for all.

Jesus’ life, death and resurrection are sufficient and available to all peoples of the world. He is pursuing many students, and we will keep sharing so that all may know the truth of the gospel.
